About Us

Olive Yu Jewellery is an independent jewellery brand based in Ahangama on Sri Lanka's South Coast.

Founded in 2018 by Kate and Susie, Olive Yu was born from a shared love of gemstones, craftsmanship, and creating jewellery that feels a little less ordinary.

At a time when most jewellery available locally followed traditional styles, Olive Yu took a different approach. Drawing inspiration from art, architecture, natural textures, and the unique gemstones of Sri Lanka, the brand became known for its organic forms, contemporary aesthetic, and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Over the years, Olive Yu has helped shape Ahangama's growing creative community, introducing new jewellery-making experiences, contemporary design concepts, and a fresh perspective on what Sri Lankan jewellery could be.

Today, every piece is still designed and made by hand by our team of jewellers, designers, gemstone specialists, and craftspeople. From everyday silver rings to custom engagement rings and rare gemstone pieces, our focus remains the same: thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and jewellery with character.
