Navaratna Silver Bangle
Made by Olive Yu
A talisman for the wrist, drawn from the stars.
Our Navaratna Bangle is a contemporary take on one of South Asia’s most ancient and powerful jewellery forms. Set with nine tiny gemstones in hand-carved geometric placements, it’s bold, symbolic, and full of meaning—while still being minimal enough for everyday wear.
In Sanskrit, Navaratna means "nine gems." Each stone represents a celestial force in Vedic astrology, believed to influence our lives and wellbeing. Together, they create harmony, balancing the energies of the planets and offering protection to the wearer.
The Nine Gems & Their Meaning:
-
Ruby (Sun): Vitality, strength, leadership
-
Pearl (Moon): Calmness, emotional clarity, nurturing
-
Red Coral (Mars): Courage, confidence, protection
-
Emerald (Mercury): Intelligence, communication, intuition
-
Yellow Sapphire (Jupiter): Wisdom, prosperity, spiritual growth
-
Diamond (Venus): Love, creativity, luxury
-
Blue Sapphire (Saturn): Discipline, focus, resilience
-
Hessonite Garnet (Rahu/North Node): Insight, ambition, transformation
- Cat’s Eye Chrysoberyl (Ketu/South Node): Detachment, spiritual awakening, protection from negativity
Each bangle is handmade in our coastal workshop in Ahangama using ethically sourced gems and recycled silver. No two are ever exactly the same—just like their wearers.
