We have 2 open positions for our brand new Hiriketiya outlet inside Dot Bay House!
We’re looking for a friendly, dependable Sales Assistant to join our team at the Olive Yu pop-up store in Hiriketiya.
You’ll be the face of the brand in one of the busiest surf and travel spots on the south coast — welcoming customers, sharing product knowledge, keeping the store looking beautiful, and supporting day-to-day sales.
This role is ideal for someone who loves talking to people, enjoys working in a calm and creative space, and has strong attention to detail. You must speak basic English confidently, be well presented, and comfortable working alone when needed.
Retail experience is preferred, and you must be available to work full time in Hiriketiya.

About the Role
We’re looking for a confident and reliable Sales Associate to run our new Olive Yu Jewellery outlet stall inside a vibrant hotel and restaurant space in Hiriketiya. This is a unique opportunity to represent one of Sri Lanka’s most exciting jewellery brands in a beautiful beachside setting, surrounded by surf, travellers, and design lovers.
The role is ideal for someone independent, trustworthy, and friendly, with a strong background in customer service or jewellery sales. You’ll often be working alone, so confidence and self-discipline are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the Olive Yu brand with warmth and professionalism
- Handle all daily operations of the Hiriketiya outlet
- Engage with customers, answer product questions, and process sales
- Maintain clean and beautiful product displays
- Track basic stock and communicate regularly with the Ahangama team
- Occasionally assist with social media content or brand activations onsite
- Attend full training in Ahangama for 1 month before starting at Hiriketiya
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, retail, hospitality, or jewellery
- Confident working independently, often as the only staff member onsite
- Fluent in English
- Trustworthy, friendly, and motivated to learn
- Interest in jewellery, art, or design is a big bonus
- Willingness to travel to Ahangama for initial training
