In this 2.5-hour jewellery making class in Ahangama, you’ll design and carve your own ring or pendant from scratch. No experience required.

You’ll work in wax — a soft, forgiving material that allows you to shape, carve, and refine your design with ease. Our team guides you through the process so you can confidently create something that feels considered and well-made.

You can:

• Keep it clean and minimal or explore texture and form
• Press your fingerprint into the surface
• Create a more sculptural or detailed design
• Add gemstones to be set after casting

Once your wax model is complete, it is transformed using the traditional lost wax casting process. Your design is encased, the wax is removed, and molten silver is poured in its place. The result is a solid sterling silver piece that precisely reflects what you created.

This process allows for a level of detail and refinement that is not possible in faster casting methods. Edges stay sharp. Surfaces remain intentional. The final piece has the weight, finish, and presence of professionally made jewellery.

Gemstones can be added, but require additional setting time after casting. Completion timing will depend on the design, so this is best discussed with the jeweller during your session.

IMPORTANT
Your piece will be ready for collection the next day (after 2pm). The casting process takes approximately 24 hours.

If your design includes gemstones, additional time will be required. Please confirm timelines if you are travelling.

If you are short on time, our sand-casting workshop is completed in a single session. It produces a more organic, less precise result, while this class focuses on control, detail, and a refined finish.

While you create, enjoy morning tea with biscuits, fruits, coffee, tea, and local snacks in our jewellery studio by the ocean.
